Job summary

Brio Digital is seeking an experienced Lead Content Designer for a 6-month contract role in London, with on-site presence required two days a month. You will lead content design on a Central Government programme via a delivery partner, set standards, and guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver accessible, user-centred services.

• Proven experience leading content design in government/public sector.
• Ability to mentor and quality-assure content designers.
• Strong writing/editing skills and accessibility knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the content design approach across the programme, setting direction and standards.
• Mentor and quality-assure the work of content designers; run crits and pair-writing sessions.
• Collaborate with researchers, service designers, interaction designers and PMs to shape end-to-end services.
• Use research/data to identify user needs and improve content.
• Ensure content meets GOV.UK style, GDS standards and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.
• Represent content design in service assessments and stakeholder discussions.
