Job summary

Brio Digital is seeking an experienced Lead Content Designer for a 6-month contract in London (onsite 2x per month). You will lead content design on a Central Government programme via a delivery partner, setting standards and guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver clear, accessible, user-centred services.

You will mentor designers, work with researchers and product managers, ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliance and participate in service assessments with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Content Designer in Central Government or the wider public sector.
  • Track record of taking services through GDS service assessments (Alpha, Beta or Live).
  • Experience leading and developing content designers in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expert writing and editing skills, able to simplify complex policy into plain English.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
  • Experience with content management systems and GOV.UK Design System.

Rate: £550 per day, Outside IR35


Brio Digital is searching for an experienced Lead Content Designer to join our client's team on a contract basis (outside IR35). You will lead content design on a Central Government programme via a delivery partner, setting standards and guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver clear, accessible, user-centred services.


What you'll do as a Lead Content Designer


  • Lead the content design approach across the programme, setting direction, standards and ways of working.

Bonus points if you have


  • Experience with Figma, Mural or prototyping tools.

  • Experience of content strategy or information architecture at programme level.

  • Active SC clearance (or eligibility).
