Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Band 7 Community Team Leader for the Community Midwifery team in London. You will lead a team of midwives, ensure rosters cover 24-hr needs, and drive high-quality, evidence-based care for women and birthing people in the community.

The role requires leadership, independence in clinical decisions, and a commitment to development and mentoring of staff within the community pathway.

Formación

• Degree level or equivalent experience.
• Registered Midwife and NLS newborn trained.
• Evidence of professional managerial qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Have delegated responsibility for 24-hr cover within the community midwifery service; formulate rosters to ensure adequate cover.
• Monitor activity within the team and across the service daily; manage high activity and staffing issues.
• Be autonomous with clinical leadership and provide direct care to women.
• Delegate clinical tasks to on-duty staff (e.g., care of complex cases, routine equipment checks).
• Facilitate development of all staff through teaching and empowerment.
• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate high standards of care based on evidence-based practice.
• Promote the physiology of birth and support both women and staff.
