Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Lead Solution Architect to shape software products and platforms used by engineers across our global business. You will steer architectural direction, mentor teams, and translate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions.

You'll influence technical direction across multiple teams, drive CI/CD and cloud-native practices, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering cloud-based software platforms and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of architectural leadership across multiple applications, products, or teams.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud-native development, and software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without direct line management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure software solutions across a broad portfolio.
• Guide architectural decision-making, review designs, and establish consistent approaches to software delivery and cloud architecture.
• Mentor engineering teams and influence technical direction without direct line management responsibility.
