Job summary

Pab Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in London to join a Tier 1 banking organisation. The role is hybrid, requiring 1 day per week in the office, and focuses on building and automating secure, scalable cloud platforms using Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

You will own design, build and operate Azure platforms, develop pipelines and ensure high availability, with exposure to production cloud infrastructure and DR.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure or DevOps.
• Strong, hands-on Azure experience – essential.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience – essential, ideally AKS.
• Strong hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code – essential.
• Experience building and managing production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Experience with cloud networking and security.
• Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery and high availability.
• Experience with monitoring and observability.
• Ability to work 1 day per week in the London office.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, scalable and highly available Azure platforms.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Develop reusable infrastructure using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain cloud networking and security controls.
• Support platform resilience, disaster recovery and availability.
• Monitor platform performance, reliability and operational health.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues.
• Contribute to technical designs, code reviews and engineering best practice.
• Work closely with engineering and technology teams to continuously improve the platform.
