Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a key clinical leadership role for adults with intellectual disabilities and complex needs in an inpatient assessment and treatment service. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinating admission, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning with CPA reviews and clear pathways for safe, rights-based care.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, evidence-based care planning, and close collaboration with community teams

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Relevant professional registration ( registered healthcare professional with Approved Clinician status).
• Experience: Proven clinical experience working within mental health or learning disability services, specifically within inpatient or secure settings.
• Expertise: Strong working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act, and current best practices in intellectual disability care.

Responsabilités

• Providing psychiatric and clinical leadership for patients admitted to the unit for assessment, stabilization, and treatment.
• Conducting comprehensive diagnostic, clinical, and risk assessments.
• Developing and overseeing evidence-based, multidisciplinary care and treatment plans.
• Leading regular multidisciplinary ward rounds, Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews, and discharge planning meetings.
• Collaborating closely with local community learning disability teams, commissioners, and families to ensure smooth transitions and timely discharges.
• Contributing to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
