Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist Inpatient & Community Forensics to lead a caseload across low secure and community forensic services. The role combines inpatient and community work within a supportive team and offers opportunities to contribute to service development and academic activities.

The post requires GMC specialist registration in Forensic Psychiatry, with Approved Clinician status and MHA approvals expected.

Qualifications

• GMC specialist registration in Forensic Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT).
• Approved Clinician status and Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in the community and in an inpatient setting.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment.
• Take part in service development and academic programmes.
