Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the Inpatient Assessment and Treatment Unit and the Nottingham City CIDT for adults with intellectual disability and related conditions. The post combines hospital clinics at Highbury with community work across two Nottingham City boroughs, offering leadership, teaching and service development within a dynamic Trust.

Applicants should be GMC registered with specialist eligibility; experience in IDD psychiatry

Competenze

• Fully registered with GMC with licence to practise at time of appointment.
• Eligibility for GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
• Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months.

Mansioni

• Lead and supervise junior medical staff in accordance with Trust policies.
• Ensure junior staff operate within New Deal and Working Time Directive.
• Record and submit clinical activity promptly to Information Department.
• Participate in annual appraisal and CPD programmes.
• Provide MDT input and medicolegal work as required (MHA/Sec 12).
• Contribute to service transformation and cross-agency collaboration.
