Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced ultrasound post to provide comprehensive reporting across procedures. The post offers professional autonomy, leadership responsibilities for band 6/7 staff, and a role in developing the ultrasound service in line with best practice and national standards.

The successful candidate will lead ultrasound practice, supervise a team, and contribute to professional development within a dynamic trust environment.

Qualifications

• Independently undertake ultrasound examinations with high-level specialist knowledge and adhere to local, regional and national guidance.
• Lead and develop professional practice within ultrasound in a defined field.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of patient care and provide excellent patient experience.
• Independently perform ultrasound exams using specialist knowledge and guidance.
• Manage and develop the specialist service to optimise resources.
• Provide professional leadership and training to the team (band 7 & 6 level).
• Develop professional expertise via CPD and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with standards.
