Job summary

Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow is seeking a Senior Sonographer to deliver high-quality ultrasound services across obstetrics, gynaecology, abdominal, MSK, vascular and small parts. You will manage your own caseload, produce diagnostic reports, and contribute to CPD, audits and teaching.

You will work at the main site with occasional shifts at our CDCs in Epping and Bishop's Stortford, supporting patient care with professional standards and departmental governance.

Responsibilities

• To carry out obstetric, gynaecological (including trans-vaginal scanning), abdominal, small parts and vascular ultrasound examinations to agreed protocols and standards. To provide written reports after synthesising patient history and scan findings into a diagnosis.
• If qualified to do so, to carry out MSK ultrasound scans and injections.
• The main hospital site supports A/E, IP and Same Day Emergency Services as well of the majority of the obstetric scanning.
• Off site we perform non obstetric ultrasound.
