Job summary

Northampton General Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Research Nurse (Band 6) to lead delivery of clinical research across NGH. The role manages a portfolio of trials from feasibility to close-out, ensuring ICH-GCP compliance and high-quality data.

The post is part-time 28 hours per week, with discussions on working days, and a pro-rata salary of £39,959–£48,117 per annum. The successful candidate will line-manage the research nursing team and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate level (or equivalent) in Nursing, Science or Health related discipline.
• Registered Nurse level 1 (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• ICH GCP training.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of clinical research across NGH.
• Manage a designated number of research studies ensuring safe, compliant delivery.
• Support recruitment and informed consent where appropriate.
• Develop and update the team’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate data collection and record keeping in line with GCP and data protection.
