Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our talented team at NHS Fife.

We are one of the most dynamic health boards in Scotland, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 370,000 across the Kingdom of Fife. We are rooted in the communities we serve and are driven by our vision to improve the health of our population by developing integrated healthcare services delivered thorough our highly talented and committed workforce.
We work with local people and partners across health, social care, and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our new Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

We now require an exceptional Lead Clinical Pharmacist Primary Care, to fulfill this key senior role which is responsible for the leadership and development of pharmacotherapy services within GP Practices in NHS Fife.

As an inspirational team leader, you will help to guide a highly engaged team to transform the way we deliver pharmacy services in line with our core values of dignity and respect; care and compassion; openness, honesty, and responsibility; and quality and teamwork.

Reporting to NHS Fifes Head of Pharmacy Population Health and Wellbeing, you will also be expected to develop strong collaborative working relationships across the organisation to support transformation of services. This is vitally important to how we deliver future whole system health and care services to support people across Fife.

This post based at the Lynebank Hospital, in Dunfermline, is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide dynamic strategic direction and operational leadership, in the planning, management and provision of our pharmacy services. You will also have a clinical commitment within general practice, utilising your clinical and prescribing skills to provide care to our patients.

If you are excited by the prospect of joining one of NHS Scotlands most dynamic and forward-thinking Boards, and by the opportunity to shape and evolve pharmacy services, we would love to hear from you.

To arrange an informal discussion regarding the post please contact Cara Mackenzie, Head of Pharmacy Population Health and Wellbeing, NHS Fife cara.mackenzie@nhs.scot
