An exciting opportunity for a passionate Women's health professional to become our Lead Clinical Nurse at Canterbury Breastcare in a 0.9FTE role.

We bring together specialists and health professionals dedicated to breast health, from screening and diagnostics to surgical and medical management. We are a joint venture with Pacific Radiology and local breast surgeons.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse to leverage their advanced nursing knowledge and leadership skills to provide specialist care from diagnosis through post-operative management. The role aims to improve health outcomes through diagnostic, screening, assessment, and breast cancer pathways, supporting women throughout their journey.

Candidate Profile
  • Knowledge of breast screening and breast cancer diagnosis
  • Strong leadership and managerial experience in nursing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Registered nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and an Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the clinical specialty
Responsibilities
  1. Lead the nursing team in delivering expert patient care, collaborating with families and health professionals
  2. Coordinate patient pathways, liaising with medical specialists and ensuring smooth documentation
