Job summary

TURNER LOVELL LIMITED is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead the civil design of electricity substations across the UK from concept to completion. You will oversee drawings, calculations, and specifications for civil structures and infrastructure, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with at least 3 years' experience in power transmission/substations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in power transmission/substations or related infra.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles from feasibility to handover.
• Familiar with AutoCAD; Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end civil design of electricity substations (up to 400kV) across the UK.
• Attend site visits, client meetings and design reviews to monitor progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet scope, safety and quality.
