Job summary

Turner Lovell is recruiting a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end civil design of electricity substations across the UK, from concept to completion. You will oversee drawings, calculations and specifications for civil structures, coordinating with electrical and structural disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and has 3+ years of experience in power transmission/substations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in power transmission, distribution, substations, or related infrastructure.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office; Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end civil design of electricity substations (up to 400kV) across the UK.
• Attend site visits, client meetings and design reviews to monitor progress.
• Coordinate with internal design teams and external stakeholders to meet technical, safety and quality requirements.
• Manage design risks and develop practical, buildable engineering solutions.
• Oversee design reviews and integration with electrical and structural disciplines.
• Guide and support junior team members.
