Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Civil Maritime Engineer to lead the delivery of port and maritime infrastructure projects across the UK, Ireland and the Middle East. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, shape technical design solutions, and work with clients to balance performance, risk and investment.

You will mentor junior engineers, uphold quality assurance standards, and contribute to growing our Ports and Maritime capability while delivering practical, evidence-led engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil Engineer with design delivery leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary maritime design teams.
• Knowledge of berthing structures, quay walls, and port infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team delivering technical maritime design projects to high-quality standards.
• Produce and review design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
• Provide technical input into maritime design deliverables and manage budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow the Ports and Maritime capability.
• Ensure QA standards and check/review own and others' work.
