Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal/Associate Civil Engineer for its Southern England offices to lead and deliver outline and detail design for water and wastewater projects across major UK water frameworks.

You will provide technical leadership, supervise multiphysics design scopes, and ensure buildable solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. UK water company experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree and chartered status or equivalent experience for senior roles.
• Significant water/wastewater design experience or strong civil engineering design background.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating outline and detailed design deliverables.
• Experience preparing, checking or reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, specs and designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead outline and detailed civil design for water and wastewater projects, focused on UK clients.
• Provide technical leadership across designs, calculations, drawings and submissions.
• Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams and manage design documentation.
• Mentor engineers and technicians to develop technical capability.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain high-quality design delivery.
