Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Lead Civil Engineer to drive civil design across the Sellafield project, delivering a 7200m2 new build with a focus on safety and quality.

You will lead the civil design scope, manage a team of engineers and external consultants, and ensure deliverables meet CDM requirements and project standards.

The role requires a civil/structural degree, Chartered status, and experience with highways, drainage and underground services; nuclear exposure is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/structural engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• Experience in civil design: highways, drainage and underground services.
• Proficient with Civils 3D, Info Drainage and AutoCAD.
• Nuclear or similar heavy-industry experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan civil design scope across design and construction.
• Lead the Civil team and represent discipline in meetings.
• Develop the 3D model and produce 2D GA drawings from the model.
• Ensure designs are safe, fit for purpose.
• Fulfil the Designer role under the CDM Regulations.
