Job summary

Turner Lovell Limited in the UK is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end civil design of electricity substations up to 400 kV, from concept through to handover. You will oversee drawings, calculations, and specifications, coordinating with electrical, structural, and external stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and schedule.

Understanding of project lifecycles from feasibility to handover.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end civil design of electricity substations (up to 400kV) across the UK.
Attend site visits, client meetings, and design reviews to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet technical, safety and quality requirements.
Manage design risks and develop buildable engineering solutions.
Oversee design reviews and integration with electrical/structural disciplines.
Guide and support junior team members.
