Job summary

S1jobs is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for civil engineering project delivery in Scotland. You will oversee multiple projects, manage contracts, variations, and costs, and work with commercial and operations teams to drive performance.

You will lead site teams, ensure health and safety, and maintain strong client relationships, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. Driving leadership and commercial acumen across the business is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple civil engineering projects, coordinating clients, delivery teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage contracts, contractual obligations, variations, risks and project changes.
• Work with the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager to monitor budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Lead and support project managers, site managers, engineers and site teams.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Select subcontractors, negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
• Report on project progress, support bids and tenders, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery.
