Job summary

Wilderness Way is seeking an Registered Manager in Children’s Residential care to lead two small, registered homes with a focus on relationship-based care. You will work with a supportive leadership network, including an Operational Manager, Assistant Managers, and HRBP teams to ensure high-quality care and compliance.

You’ll implement set shifts and a full year rota, while driving safeguarding and regulation adherence and staff development through Level 5 training pathways.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in children’s residential care, social work, or secure care within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Strong leadership with resilience and relationship focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage two Ofsted-registered solo homes, each with individual registrations.
• Provide 2:1 relationship based care.
• Set shifts and a full year’s rota.
• Collaborate with Operational Manager and Assistants to lead teams.
• Access HRBP, Recruiters and Compliance teams for staff development and safeguarding support.
• Leverage the Quality & Safeguarding Team for practical safeguarding advice and compliance.
• Coordinate referrals with the Referrals Team to match children to homes.
