Job summary

Wilderness Way in the United Kingdom is seeking a Children's Residential Team Leader to drive high-quality care and lead a dedicated team within the home. You will shape the care environment, develop colleagues and ensure children feel safe, valued and supported to reach their potential.

You will lead shifts, coach staff, champion trauma-informed care and oversee care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Children and Young People's Workforce, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in residential childcare and supporting children with emotional, behavioural or complex needs.
• Leadership experience through coaching, mentoring, or shift leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure safe, high-quality care for children.
• Coach and support Residential Support Workers and Senior Residential Support Workers.
• Champion trauma-informed care and help create positive, nurturing environments.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and records to maintain high standards.
• Lead safeguarding on shift and collaborate with families, schools and professionals.
• Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement activities.
