Job summary

Sgscare is recruiting a Registered Manager in Derby (DE22), East Midlands. The role heads a 4-bed children's home for 8–17 year olds with EBD, reporting to the Responsible Individual and MD.

You will lead the team, manage budgets, ensure safeguarding, and coordinate with local authorities and education/health partners. Salary £51,500–£60,000 plus a £7,500 welcome bonus, and 37.5 hours per week with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Diploma requirements as stated: Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications for leadership in residential childcare.
• Driving licence is a stated requirement for the role.
• Extensive experience in children's residential care management is required.
• Experience in an LD/EBD home is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the home's Statement of Purpose and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead, supervise and appraise the team.
• Manage budgets, resources, agency use and occupancy.
• Take responsibility for safeguarding, child protection and complaints.
• Complete monthly Regulation 45 reports and liaise with Ofsted visits.
