Job summary

Brook Street is seeking an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead a 4-bed children's residential home in Burntwood, Staffordshire. You will drive safeguarding, lead a dedicated team and ensure excellent outcomes for children aged 8-17 with EBD.

The role requires recent leadership experience in children's residential care, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. Salary £53,045-£63,545 with a £7,500 welcome bonus. 37.5 hours per week, permanent

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare is required.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification is desired or willingness to undertake it.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge is essential.
• Good understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day running of a 4‑bed children’s residential home.
• Lead, support and develop the residential childcare team.
• Ensure safeguarding, risk assessments and care planning are robust.
• Oversee staff rotas, budgets and service performance.
• Coordinate with Local Authorities, social workers and professionals.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and drive continuous improvement.
• Create a safe, positive, nurturing environment for children.
• Maintain high standards of care and celebrate positive outcomes.
