Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Chef Supervisor at Munster Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PZ to lead a busy military catering operation delivering roughly 1,000 meals three times daily while upholding the highest standards of food safety and service.

You will supervise a team of chefs and kitchen assistants, prepare quality meals from planned menus, manage stock, ensure cleanliness, and support training and development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within a catering or hospitality environment.
• Qualifications such as BSc Catering, MHCIM, HND, or City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ level 2/3.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• CIEH Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, proactive, and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations and support the wider catering team.
• Deliver approximately 1,000 meals three times per day.
• Prepare quality meals in line with pre-planned menus and production requirements.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean and compliant with food safety standards.
• Conduct stock checks and manage stock effectively.
• Complete relevant paperwork and due diligence documentation accurately.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and effectively.
• Assist with training and development of team members.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
