Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a senior kitchen leader to support the Head Chef at The OVO Hydro, delivering exceptional culinary standards and efficient operations across hospitality and retail. You will oversee food preparation and presentation, mentor kitchen colleagues, help develop menus, control costs and ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior culinary role, such as Sous Chef.
• Experience across hospitality and/or retail catering.
• Ability to lead, mentor and manage a kitchen team, fostering a positive, supportive and productive working environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head Chef to plan and develop varied menus across hospitality and retail operations.
• Supervise and participate in food preparation to ensure high standards of quality, taste and presentation.
• Lead, support and mentor kitchen staff, providing training on culinary techniques and dietary requirements.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, apply quality-control measures and identify opportunities to improve the food offer.
• Support kitchen budgeting, control food costs and source ingredients effectively without compromising quality.
