Job summary

Restaurant Associates UK is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead a busy, high-volume catering operation in Slough. You will drive food quality, customer experience and operational excellence while managing a kitchen team to deliver consistent results.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong GP and cost control, and a track record of maintaining food safety and compliance in contract catering environments. Monday to Friday, competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management in a high-volume catering operation.
• Track record delivering high-quality food standards in a busy commercial environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with GP, stock, purchasing and cost-control experience.
• Ability to analyse performance and drive profitability without compromising quality.
• Experience in menu planning and delivering a fresh, engaging food offer.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Experience in contract/workplace catering or related high-volume hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service.
• Maintain GP performance, stock and purchasing controls, and waste management.
• Analyse kitchen performance and implement initiatives to improve profitability.
• Plan menus and innovate to keep the offer fresh and engaging.
