Priory Group’s Wigginton Cottage in Tamworth is seeking a Chef to lead a high-quality catering service for eight adults with diverse needs. You will plan and prepare meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met, while supervising the team and managing budgets to maximise value and minimise waste.

Role demands 3+ years in a large kitchen; location is accessible by public transport with vehicle access recommended. Full-time, permanent, 40 hours weekly. Salary £13.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience preparing and cooking meals in a large professional kitchen.
• Experience in a care environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, cook and serve a variety of meals meeting dietary, nutritional, cultural and religious requirements.
• Develop creative menus promoting healthy eating, choice and variety.
• Lead, supervise and motivate the catering team, maintain high standards of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
• Manage catering budgets, stock ordering and rotation, ensuring value for money and minimal waste.
• Ensure all catering activities comply with company policies and food safety standards.
