Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled Charge Nurse to join the inpatient nursing team. This permanent role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour rotational shifts.

The post provides clinical leadership and coordinates safe, evidence-based care for patients with cancer, including those undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy. You will support staff development, maintain records to NMC standards and deputise for the Ward Manager when

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Post-registration nursing experience.
• Oncology experience desirable but not essential.
• Leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and numeracy skills.
• Ability to provide evidence-based patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of professional, legal and ethical standards relating to nursing practice.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and staff support.
• Ability to fulfil the requirements outlined within the job description.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership and coordinate delivery of safe, effective care for a defined patient group.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care with patient/family involvement.
• Maintain patient records per NMC standards; act within professional, legal and ethical frameworks.
• Create a positive learning environment and support staff development and TURAS appraisals.
• Lead nursing practice within the ward and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Support workforce planning, rostering, and management of resources and equipment.
