Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse to join the Shrewsbury Elective Surgery Hub. This internal secondment vacancy offers an opportunity to develop leadership and nursing skills in a busy day surgery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on the Shrewsbury Elective Surgery Hub or within a day surgery setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a wide multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post operative nursing care for day case and inpatient patients.
• Be flexible with working hours as days/hours may vary during the week.
• Lead and develop a team of employees under the supervision of the Ward Manager.
