Job summary

Dream Games in London is seeking an experienced CG Supervisor to design and implement our creative and technical workflows for in-game cinematics, short-form content, and animated features. You will guide look-development for feature animation and ensure a cohesive production pipeline across art and technology teams.

You will lead lookdevelopment, collaborate on tooling, and drive high-quality, render-efficient assets and lighting setups while mentoring artists and coordinating with production

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of feature-animation-scale lookdev and lighting workflows.
• Expertise in Houdini Solaris, Maya or Blender, and Renderman shading/rendering.
• Experience in designing for iteration: Multishot workflows, proceduralism, automation.
• Understanding of USD and how various teams contribute to the render scene.
• Background in Lookdev or Lighting favourable.
• Experience with AYON, Shader Writing, C++, and AI is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
• Experience working with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Appreciation and understanding of teamwork.
• Passion for storytelling, and animation.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the VFX Supervisor & Art team to understand their vision for the look of the film, and design methodologies to get the CG team there
• Collaborate with the Technology team to purchase or build necessary tooling
• Day-to-Day lead the Surfacing / Lighting / Compositing teams to ensure they have what they need and achieve the desired creative output
• Streamline Workflows, Quality checks and Reviews to accelerate inventory flow & iteration on a feature film scale
• Ensure high quality, render-efficient assets & lighting setups
• Work with Production and Creative Leadership on Staffing & resource requirements: particularly for look-related domains & render requirements
• Educate Artists and the wider team on evolving workflows
