Job summary

Orwell Housing is seeking a Shift Leader for Beaumont House in Walton-on-the-Naze. The role supports day-to-day operations, guiding colleagues and liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for residents.

The ideal candidate has health and social care qualifications and supervisory experience, with a focus on teamwork, attention to detail, and clear communication. DBS check required; visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Health and Social care or above.
• Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with shift plans and rota management.
• Lead the service and empower team members as a role model.
• Champion customer and team wellbeing to create a happy, homely atmosphere.
• Liaise with GP’s and social workers for customers.
• Complete staff competencies for medication, observations, spot checks and daily medication administration.
• Assist with ordering/collection of medication for customers.
