Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd in Ramsgate is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in all aspects of day-to-day running, ensuring residents receive personalised, high-quality care. You will lead the staff team, uphold CQC Fundamental Standards, and manage operational and medication-related responsibilities.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, and a flexible approach, including weekend shifts and on-call duties. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ/Diploma L3 or equivalent
• Experience in managing a residential care home
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong IT skills and medication competency
• Good knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards
• Strong leadership, supervision and development of staff
• Flexible approach to working hours and DBS check

Responsibilities

• Assist the Home Manager in all day-to-day running of the home
• Ensure high standards of personalised care for residents
• Lead and inspire staff to deliver outstanding care
• Monitor compliance with legislation and Fundamental Standards
• Stand in for the Home Manager during absence
• Co-ordinate weekend shifts and on-call duties
