Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service on a 5-month fixed-term basis. You will lead specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for cardiovascular patients across acute and community settings, and provide clinical leadership within the service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a cardiac rehabilitation physiotherapy service or similar.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and ability to supervise staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical delivery, development and leadership of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Service.
• Provide highly specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for cardiovascular patients across inpatient, outpatient and community pathways.
• Provide clinical leadership for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage complex cardiovascular caseload including post-event and post-surgical patients.
• Supervise staff and students and provide teaching and support.
