Job summary

Spire St Anthony's Hospital in Sutton is seeking a Lead Cardiac Physiologist to join our established Cardiology team. You will provide expert clinical leadership across the Cardiac Catheter Lab and Outpatient Department, driving high-quality patient care and service excellence.

You'll bring advanced expertise in invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations, support staff development, and collaborate with cardiologists and nursing teams to maintain clinical standards and continuous

Qualifications

• Degree in clinical physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent.
• Experience in angiography, electrophysiology and pacemaker therapy.
• Experience in cardiac catheter lab procedures.
• Autonomous worker with strong decision-making.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical expertise across a broad range of cardiac physiology investigations and procedures.
• Perform and independently report advanced procedures within electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, cardiac catheterisation and non-invasive cardiology.
• Support patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a variety of clinical settings.
• Ensure departmental policies, protocols and quality standards are consistently maintained.
• Provide leadership and support to Cardiac Physiologists working across the department.
• Contribute to the evaluation, implementation and ongoing assessment of cardiac physiology equipment and consumables.
• Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nursing teams and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.
