Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work with the Hillingdon CAMHS Learning Disabilities service. The post is fixed-term for 12 months and offers 5 Programmed Activities per week in a dynamic MDT environment.

The role includes leadership, clinical assessment, development of LD pathways, and opportunities for teaching and research with Imperial College London.

Qualifications

• Primary medical qualification with GMC registration and licence to practice.
• Section 12 MHA approved and Approved Clinician status or eligibility.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or CCT expected within 6 months).
• Experience in learning disability and CAMHS settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultation, assessment and treatment within the LD team.
• Contribute to clinical leadership in development/management of LD & neurodevelopmental pathways.
• Collaborate with MDT, paediatricians, schools and Children's Services.
• Participate in teaching, supervision and CPD for junior staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits and KPI reporting.
