Oxford Health invites applications for Consultant Psychiatrist CAMHS Liaison to shape a new service across Bath & North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. You will join a growing team delivering urgent mental health care for children and young people in acute hospital settings.

You will provide senior clinical leadership, influence pathways, and help secure permanent funding while aligning with a culture of quality improvement and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and Full GMC registration.
• Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register (or Specialist Registrar within 6 months of gaining CCT).
• Eligible for Section 12 Approval (Mental Health Act) / Approved Clinician or willing to apply.
• Experience at SpR/SAS/Specialist grade or consultant level within the last 3 years.
• Experience with leadership, governance and service development is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development of a new CAMHS Liaison model across BSW and shape the CAMHS Liaison Service.
• Provide senior clinical leadership across three District General Hospitals.
• Assess and manage young people presenting with high-risk mental health crises.
• Develop links with CAHTS, inpatient services and wider networks to improve care and reduce admissions.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams with governance and supervision.
