Zusammenfassung

Oxford Health is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead and develop CAMHS in Oxfordshire. You’ll provide senior medical input, supervise teams, and collaborate with education, social care, and partner services to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

The role includes medical education/supervision and potential leadership opportunities. We offer a relocation allowance up to £8,000 for external applicants, career development, and flexible working.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent knowledge in specialty
• Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective
• Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
• Deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training
• Participate in research or service evaluation
• Active involvement in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes

Aufgaben

• Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the Getting More Help North team.
• Assess new cases and manage their caseload with other clinicians.
• Support and develop evidence-based practice and evaluation within the team.
• Liaise effectively with education and social care services.
• Manage mental health crises including use of the mental health act where appropriate.
• Support and enable appropriate admission and discharge of patients from inpatient unit.
• Assess new routine, urgent and emergency referrals and provide consultation to non-medical clinicians.
• Contribute to the Post Assessment clinic and Locality Peer Supervision.
• Support induction of the Clinical Team and Medical Team.
• Take part in the locality Duty Medic Rota and attend Medical Team/Clinical meetings.
• Lead on staff training and regular teaching sessions.
• Contribute to the Supervision Tree and supervise Medical Trainees.
• Complete Routine, Urgent, Emergency and MHA Assessments.
• Attend multi-agency patient planning meetings.
