Job summary

Quintessential Design Service Limited is seeking a Lead CAE Engineer in Coventry to manage virtual engineering for vehicle and powertrain programs. This role involves developing methodologies for predicting tailpipe emissions and supporting 1D modeling of vehicle emissions. Candidates must have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering and experience in aftertreatment modeling. Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of engine out emission fundamentals.
• Very good aftertreatment modeling engineering understanding.
• Substantial industrial experience in assessing vehicle/powertrain emissions.
• Good analytical capability and experience in GT-Suite.
• Experience of Powertrain system, engine and aftertreatment testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop methodologies for engine out emission prediction.
• Develop models for exhaust system under various conditions.
• Problem-solving related to vehicle emissions predictions.
• Support prototype design freeze activities.
