Job summary

Futura Design Limited in Coventry is seeking a Lead Powertrain Component Engineer (Gasoline) to join our growing automotive team on a permanent basis. You will define, design, develop and sign off installed powertrain components and systems across cooling, air intake, exhaust, fuel, driveline and transmission.

The role requires strong experience with gasoline powertrains, CATIA V5, and supplier collaboration to meet programme targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in gasoline powertrain component and vehicle development.
• Familiarity with Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and FMEAs.
• Experience with automotive test and validation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, develop and sign-off installed powertrain components and systems (cooling, air intake, exhaust, fuel, driveline, transmission).
• Manage integration to meet vehicle programme targets (timing, durability, performance, quality).
• Lead interface with suppliers to meet technical specifications and assist RFQ evaluations.
