Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd seeks an experienced CAD Manager to own survey data and digital standards on a major infrastructure project in the UK. You will lead CAD operations, shape standards and ensure the teams have accurate data to deliver safely and efficiently.

You will oversee production, processing and delivery of survey CAD data, ensure compliance with project requirements, and provide leadership, training and technical guidance across engineering, surveying and design teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CAD or survey-data management.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Experience delivering survey data in multiple CAD formats.
• Experience on construction or civil infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM processes.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation.
• Understanding of design documentation standards.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Strong communication with engineering, surveying and design teams.
• Degree in surveying/engineering or related discipline advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering-survey CAD operations across the project.
• Manage production, processing and delivery of survey data per CAD specs.
• Ensure teams use correct CAD information and standards.
• Develop, implement and maintain CAD standards, workflows and best practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate CAD outputs.
• Manage information flow between design, site engineering and surveying teams.
• Work with surveying/utilities specialists to ensure subsurface data is accurate.
• Improve management of safety-critical CAD information (e.g., permits to dig).
• Enhance issuance processes for setting-out information on site.
• Provide technical guidance, training and support to CAD users.
• Manage CAD software licences, upgrades and hardware resources.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across CAD operations.
