Job summary

Siltbuster Ltd, the UK’s leading wastewater treatment specialist, invites a CAD Design Engineer to join our Monmouth team. You will design water treatment systems, develop components, and support the design through to production and installation.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with project and workshop teams, and ensure designs comply with ISO standards and H&S guidelines. A full driving licence is required for site visits.

Qualifications

• Leading projects and mentoring junior CAD staff.
• Ability to read, understand and work from Process and Instrumentation diagrams.
• Knowledge of current design legislation for water treatment systems.
• Solid modelling with SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Ability to read control philosophies and ISO standards.
• History of working in a design engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design and development of new and existing products, including structural and loading details.
• Provide build lists and assembly information for supply chain and workshop teams.
• Inspect units in fabrication to ensure specification and quality.
• Conduct site inspections for pre-installation and design development.
• Collaborate with project and workshop teams on conceptual designs and layouts.
• Maintain drawings and document control in line with company standards.
• Support design electrical services and create test plans.
• Assist in creating operation manuals and project documentation.
