Job summary

RSE is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the in-house design team, handling projects from scoping through implementation to meet client specifications and regulatory standards.

You will work across all design stages within a multidisciplinary environment, liaising with stakeholders and equipment suppliers to deliver integrated solutions. A UK driving licence and relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in water/wastewater treatment.
• Experience in multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience across design stages from optioneering/FEED to construction support and As-Built.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design aspects from inception to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Participate in project review meetings and safety studies (HAZOP).
• Consider health, safety, quality, and environmental matters in projects.
• Liaise with key stakeholders for projects.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions.
