Job summary

Virgin Atlantic is hiring a Certifying Engineer within Cabin Maintenance at our Heathrow area site. You will certify cabin maintenance tasks, supervise small teams of Cabin Technicians and third-party suppliers, and ensure regulatory-compliant records in e-MRO while supporting on-time performance and safety.

You will apply your B1.1 licence, type ratings, and aviation maintenance expertise to deliver high standards of safety, reliability and presentation for our fleet.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid B1.1 CAA Licence.
• Must hold at least 1 type rating for A330, A350 or B787.
• Experience in light and/or heavy maintenance within a commercial aviation environment.
• Experience supervising small teams and coordinating with Technical Control.

Responsibilities

• Certify allocated cabin maintenance tasks in line with CAA regulations and Virgin Atlantic procedures
• Lead and supervise small teams to deliver safe and timely maintenance
• Act as focal point between team, Technical Control and stakeholders
• Ensure accurate task certification and maintenance records in e-MRO and systems
• Deliver technically clean, safe and reliable aircraft supporting on-time performance and safety standards
• Promote efficient working practices and participate in CMS briefings and updates
• Support performance management and development conversations within the team
• Uphold a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance
