Job summary

JMC Aviation is recruiting a B1 Licensed Engineer for a Heathrow-based role. You will certify work within the authorisation scope and supervise a Leading Mechanic to ensure aircraft turnaround times are met.

Line maintenance experience and UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with recent recency are required. The role involves maintaining safety standards and reporting significant findings promptly, with a comprehensive benefits package and onsite duty pattern.

Qualifications

• UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with 6 months recency in the last 2 years on one of the following types: A320, A330, A350, A380, B737, B777, B787.
• Line maintenance experience is required.
• Hold a Drivers Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Certify work carried out within scope and privileges of the authorisation held.
• Supervise staff with a Leading Mechanic when allocated to the aircraft or zone.
• Ensure significant findings affecting aircraft delivery are reported to the Shift Manager promptly.
• Ensure efficient work to meet aircraft turnaround times.
• Maintain handover logs and provide handover at shift change.
• Identify and provision spares to avoid delays in rectification.
• Maintain awareness of Human Factors and comply with Health and Safety standards.

This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to carrying out certification of work carried out in accordance with the scope and privileges of the authorisation held.

Other Duties Involve

• Supervising staff in conjunction with a Leading Mechanic, allocated to the aircraft or zone that the Certifying Engineer is accountable for
• Ensuring that any significant findings that could affect the aircraft delivery are reported to the Shift Manager as soon as possible
• Ensuring that work is carried out in the most efficient manner to ensure the aircraft turnaround times are met
• Ensuring continuity of work by completing the handover log and being available to give a handover at the shift change
• Ensuring spares are identified and provisioned in the most time efficient manner so as to avoid any delays in rectification
• Maintaining an awareness of Human Factors and ensure Health and Safety standards are of the highest possible and in line with the Company Safety Manual
• Raising safety reports are raised following any incidents or identification of any hazards

In order to be successful in this role the B1 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes

• UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with 6 months recency in the last 2 years on one of the following types:
• A320 (Cfm56, V2500, PW1100G (NEO))
• A330 (Trent 700, Trent 7000 (NEO)
• A350 (Trent XFB)
• A380 (Trent 900, EA GP7200)

• B787 (Trent 1000, Genx)

• Hold a Drivers License
