Job summary

FCDO Services is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to deliver high-quality analysis across a wide range of projects. You will establish standards, templates and output assurance while ensuring consistency and traceability with government frameworks.

You will translate complex business needs into testable requirements and lead a team of analysts to deliver usable artefacts. You will mentor colleagues, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and drive risk management, change, and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent).
• Professional BA certifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of NCSC, GDS and UK government security frameworks (Secure by Design, Cloud Security Principles, Government Functional Standards, Technology Code of Practice).
• Ability to design secure/air-gapped platforms within government settings.
• Experience leading co-design workshops and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality analysis across multiple projects and establish standards and templates.
• Translate complex business needs into testable requirements and user stories.
• Lead governance boards, design authorities and collaborate with stakeholders to align with Capability frameworks.
• Mentor analysts, review requirements with third-party suppliers, and manage dependencies and risk.
• Monitor delivery metrics, promote evidence-based decision making and drive continuous improvement.
