In this role, you'll lead the capability supporting projects from early discovery through design, build, testing and business readiness, with a particular focus on SAP-enabled change and large-scale business transformation.You'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, providing expert business analysis on our most complex programmes while leading and developing a team of Senior Business Analysts and Business Analysts. Working closely with programme leaders, process specialists, change professionals, product owners and Digital, Data and Technology teams, you'll ensure business needs are understood, translated and delivered consistently.What you'll be doing:Lead the business analysis team supporting SAP related complex change and transformation programmes across Anglian WaterSet clear standards for discovery, requirements management, process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria and business readinessLead, coach and develop team members, creating an inclusive, accountable and high-performing cultureDevelop business analysis delivery plans, resource forecasts and budgets in partnership with project and programme leadersMaintain oversight of sprint planning and backlogs, ensuring priorities remain aligned to business outcomesProvide clear progress reporting and escalate risks, issues and dependencies at the right timeBuild strong relationships with senior stakeholders, managing conflicting requirements and constructively challenging proposed solutionsDrive continuous improvement in business analysis methods, templates, tools and professional practiceEnsure excellent engagement with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and the problems to be solvedEnsure functional, non-functional, technical, organisational and operational requirements are captured, validated, prioritised and clearly documentedBridge the gap between business teams and technical delivery, ensuring SAP configuration and system development meet agreed requirementsDefine user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, role profiles and authorisations for system-enabled changeSupport testing, deployment, end-user training and business readiness activities across major programmesWhat we're looking forExtensive business analysis experience within complex, large-scale business transformation and IT-enabled changeStrong knowledge of SAP ECC6 and/or SAP S/4HANA environmentsProven experience leading, coaching and developing a team of Business AnalystsExtensive experience of requirements gathering, analysis, solution assessment and validation, process mapping and business readinessStrong prioritisation and decision-making capability, with the ability to manage resources across multiple competing programmesStrong stakeholder management experience at senior level, with confidence influencing programme and project leadershipAbility to translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirementsExcellent questioning, facilitation, communication and documentation skillsExperience working across Agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, testing and deployment activitiesInnovative and analytical approach, with strong root-cause problem-solving skills and attention to detailDesirable:International Institute of Business Analysis certification, such as CCBA or CBAPExperience of business process re-engineering and enterprise process architectureProject or programme management qualification, such as MSP, APM or PRINCE2Knowledge of water utilities or another regulated, asset-intensive environmentUnderstanding of IT applications, infrastructure, corporate data models and data management requirementsWhy join Anglian Water?At Anglian Water, transformation is about more than implementing technology.
