Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Building Services Lead to support HV substations and energy projects across UK Transmission and Distribution. You will lead FEED and detailed design streams, ensure quality, mentor junior engineers and support tendering and business development.

You should hold a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with proven HV design experience (132kV–400kV) and awareness of UK building regs. We offer a competitive package and hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Building Services qualification/experience.
• Proven HV substation design experience (132kV-400kV) and/or HVDC converter stations, ideally in UK T&D environments.
• Familiarity with National Grid, SSE and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead building services FEED and detailed design workstreams for clients and bids.
• Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of design packages and bids.
• Lead HVAC and environmental control system design for GIS substations and HVDC facilities.
• Coordinate with design engineers, suppliers and subcontractors; mentor juniors.
