Stantec seeks a Principal Building Physics Engineer to lead and grow national capability across the Southwest, with weekly travel to Plymouth. You will guide building performance, energy strategy, and sustainable design across sectors, mentoring teams and shaping our offerings.

Formación

• Extensive experience delivering building physics in a consultancy environment.
• Advanced proficiency in IES-VE and complex simulation methodologies.
• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and engage clients.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical delivery of building physics workstreams across large and complex projects.
• Oversee dynamic modelling including thermal, energy, daylighting, overheating and natural ventilation.
• Develop and review energy strategies, TM54 assessments, embodied carbon considerations and net-zero design solutions.
• Provide guidance on façade performance, passive design strategies and building fabric optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with Part L, TM52/TM59, EPC requirements and support sustainability credits.
• Author high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop graduates and early-career specialists.
• Contribute to shaping Stantec’s national building physics capability and innovation roadmap.
