Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Building Physics Engineer in Plymouth. You’ll join a market-leading Buildings discipline, delivering energy modelling and low-carbon design with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will gain hands-on project experience, pursue CPD, and work toward Building Regulations compliance across England, Scotland and Wales while developing your professional chartership path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services and keen interest in the Buildings sector.
• Graduate-level expectations with adaptability to working in a collaborative design team.
• Interest in energy, sustainability and low-carbon building design.

Responsibilities

• Work on live projects from the start across healthcare and education sectors.
• Develop sustainable energy strategies for new and existing buildings using dynamic thermal modelling.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD and 3D BIM modelling in design production.
• Assess building performance and optimize energy use.
• Gain certification and support Building Regulations compliance across the UK.
• Participate in design team and client meetings and site visits.
• Research new technologies and pursue CPD and learning opportunities.
• Assess Net Zero and BREEAM targets for projects.
